About Dr. Fred A. Knaysi

Dr. Knaysi has been in private practice in Richmond, VA for over 25 years. He is a graduate of Cornell University with a B.A. in Neurobiology. While at Cornell he also taught courses on Drugs and Behavior, and a Biological Approach to Psychosis. He later attended M.C.V. School of Dentistry. There he received numerous honors including Who's Who in American Universities, Harry Lyons Award, V.C.U

Leadership & Service Award and Sigma Zeta Honorary Society among others. Following graduation, he completed a general practice residency at DePaul Hospital.
 
Upon returning to Richmond and private practice, he has also served as a part-time faculty member at M.C.V. School of Dentistry. Dr. Knaysi treats a broad range of patients, both adults and children, some wanting a "Hollywood smile," and others just interested in maintaining what they have. Many of his patients appreciate his focus on "gentle dentistry," which includes headphones, video glasses, sedation and stuffed animals… even for adults.
